LCSD Recognizes Top Educators

 

Lauderdale Co., MS – The Lauderdale County School District is proud to announce its 2018-2019 top educators. Northeast Elementary Principal Lisa Shelly has been named LCSD’s Administrator of the Year and Krileshia Boyd as LCSD’s Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Boyd is a 3rd grade English & Language Arts teacher at Northeast.

 

“I am completely humbled and grateful for all of Northeast Elementary. It’s just truly an honor,” said Boyd.

 

“I was surprised because teamwork is how we operate everything around here,” said Principal Shelly. “I’m so grateful because the staff here does that so well.”

 

“These educators are shining examples of the commitment that the Lauderdale County School District has for its students,” said LCSD Superintendent, Dr. John-Mark Cain. “I look forward to seeing what the futures holds for each.”

 

LCSD’s High School Teacher of the Year is Fonya Scott. For the past 4 years she’s been teaching Biology and AP Biology at Clarkdale High. The district’s 2018-2019 Middle School Teacher of the Year is Vicky Stephens. She’s a 7th grade math teacher from Southeast. For the past 19 years Mrs. Stephens has been teaching in the Lauderdale County School District.
