LCSD Launches a Major Strategic Plan Effort

Lauderdale County, MS - The Lauderdale County School District is embarking on an important journey to develop and implement a strategic plan that will serve as a roadmap for the next three to five years, and focus on such essential areas as: student learning, school culture, community relations, and fiscal responsibility. The entire process will be based on stakeholder and community input.

“This process helps us organize and prioritize our works,” says Lauderdale County Superintendent Dr. John-Mark Cain. “We’re looking forward to engaging our community to partner with us and help guide our future.”

Community input is essential to the success of the process. All community members and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the strategic planning process through the completion of an anonymous online survey. Copies of the survey are also available at the LCSD Central Services Office at 301 46th Court in Meridian.

The survey should take less than ten minutes to complete, and it’s available at A link to the questionnaire is also available on the district’s homepage. Please respond to the survey prior to it closing on April 5th. We hope you will participate in this important process, and encourage your friends and neighbors to also participate.

Thank you for your commitment to the Lauderdale County School District. Please contact LCSD Curriculum Director Cheryl Thomas at (601) 693-1683 or for additional information.
