                  LCSD Announces 2019 STAR Students, Parents and Teachers


Lauderdale Co., MS – The Lauderdale County School District is proud to announce the 2019 STAR Students, Parents and Teachers for each of its four high schools. This year’s recipients are all well-deserving of this distinguished honor. The STAR student program recognizes students for academic and ACT test achievement.

 This year’s recipients are: 

                                               CLARKDALE HIGH SCHOOL

STAR Student:  Reagan Marie Vance

ACT Score: 31 

STAR Parents: Ms. Alesa Beckham

Grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Tom and Patricia Bridges

STAR Teacher: Mrs. Beth Smith teaches Algebra II & III and the Essentials for College Math at CHS.

                                                NORTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL

STAR STUDENT:  Leslie Hatcher

ACT Score:  35

STAR Parents: Mr. & Mrs. Kevin and Peppi Hatcher

STAR Teacher: Mrs. Allyson Wells Morgan teaches U.S. History, Advanced Placement U.S. History, Advanced Placement Government and Economics at NEHS

                                                  SOUTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL


ACT Score: 34

STAR PARENTS: Mr. & Mrs. Anthony and Juanita Cordova

STAR Teacher: Mr. Jeremy Smith teaches Construction Trades and Carpentry at SEHS. 

                                               WEST LAUDERDALE HIGH SCHOOL

STAR STUDENT: Gabriel Broome


STAR PARENT: Ms. Sherene Broome

STAR TEACHER: Mrs. Jacquelyn Allen teaches Chemistry, Advanced Placement Chemistry and Physics at WLHS.
