Meridian Community College's Dual Credit Partnership with LCSD

In partnership with Meridian Community College, the Lauderdale County School District is offering high school seniors the opportunity to receive college credit for courses taken while still in high school. These courses offer a wide range of interests for students who want to get a head start on their career plans. The dual credit programs included are:

-Machine Tool Technology

-Drafting & Design Technology

-Practical Nursing

-Graphics Communications Technology-Telecommunications Technology

-Welding

-Industrial Maintenance

Each program offers a series of introductory classes to allow students to gain valuable information for beginning their pursuit of a specific, industry-related career. The courses are taught by instructors from Meridian Community College and include lab and clinical based activities and events to further reinforce the objectives taught. The fees for these classes are minimal and are a bargain for the financially conscience student. Specific program requirements and class information may be obtained from your local school counselor or from Meridian Community College.
