The Lauderdale County School District's mission is to educate all students so they can become competent contributing members of society. The LCSD is committed to meeting the needs of all students we serve as we prepare them to be productive, contributing members of our community. In this pursuit, we know students must have a passion or a desire for something – whether it’s academics, sports, or the arts. This passion is the driving force that gives them one reason to come to school, and thus, they are more likely to experience success.
All LCSD schools and offices will be closed March 11 - 15 for Spring Break. A Teacher In-Service Day will be held on Monday, March 18. Students will return to campuses for regular classes on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
It's Spring Break, but our school resource officers and community partners are hard at work addressing issues that affect our schools. We were honored to partner with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department in a Spring Break Illegal Vaping Sale Sting. Click on the attached link to learn more about the effort.
We are committed to providing opportunities for student achievement and career awareness through engagement. The annual Northeast Elementary Arts Fair is a perfect example.
Congratulations to students at Southeast Middle School for presenting a stellar performance of "The Lion King Kids." The acting, vocal performances and fancy footwork are to be commended. Keep up the #LCSDExcellence, Tigers!
