LCSD Approves Long-Term Cost Savings Energy Plan

The Lauderdale County School Board has approved a contract with the company, Entegrity. Specializing in renewable energy projects, the company will work to make LCSD more energy efficient. Some of the improvements that the $10 million plan includes are upgrades for lighting, windows, ceilings, HVAC systems, and security on all campuses. Projections are that the LED light installations alone will save the district almost $200,000 annually. The projected completion date for the work is May 2020.
