Title I Parental Involvement Policy

Family and Parent Engagement

The Lauderdale County School District (LCSD) recognized that family involvement is essential as we partner to educate our youth and prepare them for life-long learning. Schools, families, and communities must all be actively involved in developing strong programs and policies that support the academic success of every student in the LCSD. A well-organized school-parent/family partnership improves the educational, emotional, and social development of students. The Board of Education, Central Office Administrators, Building Level Principals, and teachers will participate in educational activities designed to establish and support an environment that fosters a positive home-school partnership. The board also encourages every school to form an active and effect parent-teacher organization.
