CMS 8th graders were visited by financial advisors Brad Reynolds and Robert Ford from WBR Investment Services, LLC in Meridian today. Brad and Robert shared how to invest early to be prepared for retirement. The duo discussed investing in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and 401Ks as a way to be prepared for retirement age. Students learned that they don't have to be adults to begin investing in their future and were provided information on how to invest in order to have $1,000,000 when they retire. This informational session kicked off 8th grade Cyber Foundations 2's Financial Literacy unit, where students will learn about saving for college, income taxes, credit card and investment interest, investing practices, and good budgeting.
