Keeping Lauderdale County Moving Safely

The Lauderdale County School District Safety and Transportation Department is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation and security services that support student success every day. Our dedicated team works diligently to ensure that students arrive safely at school, extracurricular activities, and other district-sponsored events while maintaining a secure learning environment across the district.

During the past school year, the district's school bus fleet traveled 1,390,161 miles, safely transporting thousands of students throughout Lauderdale County. This achievement reflects the professionalism and commitment of our bus drivers, mechanics, monitors, and support staff who work behind the scenes to keep our transportation system operating safely and efficiently.

The Safety and Transportation Department remains focused on continuous improvement through preventative maintenance, driver training, transportation planning, and school safety initiatives. We are proud to serve the students, families, and communities of Lauderdale County by keeping our schools safe and our buses on the road.
