Looking ahead to the new school year, here's a reminder from the Mississippi Department of Health. All incoming 7th graders are required to receive a pertussis (Tdap) booster, if they have not received the vaccination since the age of 7. Click on the attached link for more details.

We are extremely proud of Principal Rodgers from West Lauderdale High for being named as the Mississippi Association of Secondary School Principals' 2023 High School Principal of the Year! It's always a thrill to welcome LCSD graduates back to inspire others. 2015 Southeast High graduate Damion Willis is one of those. Last-minute preparations are underway for a youth football camp that he's sponsoring at the school. Open to kids in grades 1st - 8th, participants will be in for a treat. In the LCSD, we are committed to continued growth. It's been almost five years since the LCSD adopted a Strategic Plan, and the good news is that roughly 93% of the goals set have been achieved.
