The LCSD Foundation for Excellence in Education offers Continuing Education Grants to support professional growth and learning opportunities for LCSD employees.

The goals of the LCSD Foundation Continuing Education Grants are to support teacher recruitment, retention, recognition, and to enhance employee morale. Continuing Education will include learning activities required to meet requirements of the job, job enhancement, and meeting licensing/accreditation guidelines. Consideration will be given for personal development if funds are available.
Recipients must be a member of the LCSD Foundation.
A minimum grade of “C” is required to receive a grant. Upon completion of the course, the recipient will be required to submit to the LCSD Foundation a course grade sheet or transcript.

August 8–31. Only complete applications submitted during this period will be considered. Awards are expected to be announced mid-September.
Eligibility:
Certified teachers currently teaching in a PreK–12 classroom in LCSD, employed for at least two (2) years, and pursuing a higher degree in education (e.g., master’s or specialist).

Non-certified school-based staff (e.g., teacher assistants, paraprofessionals) pursuing teacher certification or an education degree.
It is the intent of the Foundation to award at least one grant per school zone based on applicants.
